M’lore: Parishioners of St Lawrence Parish, Bondel celebrate Parish Day

Mangalore, 02 Feb 2014: The parishioners of St Lawrence parish, Bondel, here celebrated their parish day on Sunday February 2.

 

Fr Michael Lobo, principal of Lourdes Central School, Bejai, here celebrated the Holy Mass at Bondel parish along with the parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza at 10.00an on Sunday.

 

Fr Andrew D’Souza felicitated the members of parish council who have served for 3 years in the past at the beginning of Holy Mass.

 

The office bearers of newly-elected parish council took oath to work for the betterment of the parish.  Fr Andrew administered the oath taking ceremony.

 

 

After the Holy Mass, different games were held for the parishioners of all the age groups. The parishioners joined in the fellowship meal prepared by the parishioners themselves.

 

The city-based Four Winds Advertising Agency proprietor Elias D’Souza was the chief guest of stage programme held at the parish auditorium, here on Sunday evening.

 

Fr Andrew felicitated the outgoing parish council vice president Rudolf Pinto and secretary Reginald D’Souza on the same occasion.

 

Ratichin Voram Aaat, Konkani play by playwright Dolphy Cascia was staged by the parishioners as part of entertainment programme.
