Mumbai, 27 Jan 2014: Daiji Dubai Writers’ Forum is an association of intellectuals who are committed for the development of Konkani. Its also an association that is striving to strike a bond among Konkani litterateurs and writers for the common good of Konkani. There is no bias of whatever sorts. It’s striving to promote Konkani worldwide, said Konkani theater veteran and Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy award recipient comedy king Francis Fernandes Cascia.
Fernandes was speaking during conferring of Daiji Dubai Sahitya Puraskar to senior Konkani litterateur Stan Ageira Mulky (Dubai) that was held at fifteenth anniversary celebration of Daiji Dubai Writers’ Forum, at Dr M Vishveshwarayya auditorium of Karnataka Sangh Mumbai ® Matunga (West) here on Sunday January 26. The celebrations were held at the aegis of St Peter’s Association Barkoor (Mumbai).
The metro-based Clerk Exotica director Nigel Ronald Colaco was the chief guest of the occasion.
Merit Freight Systems managing director Joseph Mathias, Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry founder president Vincent Mathias, Daiji Dubai Writers’ Forum founder Stephen Mascarenhas (Hemacharya), St Peter’s Association Barkoor (Mumbai) president Simon P Furtado were the guests of honor.
