Dubai: Tulu Social Comedy Drama “PorluThuper “ successfully staged by GammathKalavider, U.A.E.

Dubai: 18 Jan 2014: A hilarious social Tulu Drama “ PorluThuper “ written by Nellu Permannur was successfully staged by GammathKalaviderU.A.E. at Sh. Rashid Stadium on Sunday 17th Jan 2014 for a full house drama enthusiastic.

 

Earlier, Vasu Shetty, chief convenor of GammathKalavider UAE, welcomed the gathering, the dignitaries and media personnel.  He said that the proceedings of the drama will begiven MathaLakshaniShanthidhamVridhashrama, an old age home and displayed their activities and humanitarian work being done by Harish Pergade to the 22 old orphans at the ashram which is situated at NereMajal in Bantwal.

 

Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Abu Dhabi Karnatka Sangha), presided over the stage program.  He requested the main sponsors of the drama Mr. Harish Bangera&LathaBangera, Mr. LigouryD’Mellow (MD Technofit M.E. FZCO) and Mr. Shekar Shetty (MD. Arab Udupi group of Restaurants) and support sponsors; Mr. Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO Global UAE Exchange Centre), Praveen Kumar Shetty (MD Fortune Apartments Group), Ms. BhagyaPremanth Shetty.  Harish Sherigar (MD, Achme Building Materials), NelluPermannur (write, Dialogue & Music – PorluTuper and many other konkani plays), Vishwanath Shetty (Director PorluTuper).  They were honoured with floral bouquets.  Traditional lamp was lit by all the dignitaries on the dais.

 

On the occasion, the following personalities for their contribution to their respective fields were honoured, namely: Rajesh Kutthar (a well-known actor, founder member of GammathKalavider, UA.E.),  Mr. NelluPermannur (A well-known Konkani drama writer/comedian and director of many plays),  Mr. Harish Pergade, of MathaLakshaniShanthidhamVridhashrama.  The citation highlighting their achievements were read out and also displayed on LCD Screen prior to honouring.  They were honoured with guests on dais with Traditional Shawls, Flower bouquets, Fruits and citation each.

 

All the above personalities thanked the organizers for recognizing their work and also audience for their constant supports from the beginning.  On the occasion as promised GammathKalavider presented a check of Rs. 5 Lakh to Mr. Harish Pergade for his humanitarian, on behalf of Solas Marine employees Mr. Devesh Alva presented a check of 2 lakhs,  old students of SDM College Darwad presented a cheque of Rs. One Lakh, NammaTuluver presented a check of Rs.25k by Mr. Sudhakar Alva.  Also promised Rs. 50,000.00 each by U.A.E. Bunts (Mr. Sarvotham Shetty) and Mr. VinuVishwanath Shetty (Abu Dhabi).

 

Also on the occasion a check of Rs. 1 lakh was presented to Lakumi Group in memory of late Mr.Dharmendra Amin who passed away recently.

 

Prior to beginning of drama a popular singer in U.A.E. Mr. Harish Sherigar (MD Achme Building Materials) along with little singer Akshata Rao rendered melodious best of old of Kannada songs.

 

The much awaited written by NelluPermannur comedy social drama “ PorluTuper “ was wonderfully staged and applauded by the audience.  The play wassupported by many new artists namely Girish Narayan, Samantha Hegde, JasmithaVivek, Ramesh Suvarna, Sunil Suvarna and Santosh Pujariand child artiste Siddhi Nitin did a good job and the main artistsRajesh Kutthar, Shashi Shetty, ChidanandaPoojary, Dony Correa, Asha Correa, Laveena Fernandes, Kiran Shetty, Jesh Bayar, Nitin Kumar, Sunil Suvarna, Jagath Pal, Satish Ullal and new faces, Girish Kumar, Vasanth Shetty,  Praveen Shetty who acting was applauded.

 

 

The story Porlu Tuver a social comedy drama was hilarious most of the part had the audience rib tickling laughter while the other family story brought tears.  The family story was oven around two sons of lead role played by Vasanth Shetty a role model to the society and problem solver of peace maker could not cop up with his sons family at his own house.  A heart touching role was played by Asha Correa made the audience cry and supported by Dony and Shashi Shetty added the climax and twist and turns and finally ended with a peace.  The great artist Rajesh Kutthar was the humble worker turned into hero and saved family.  Equally hilarious role was played by ChidanandaPoojari was applauded by the audience.

 

Gammath Kalavider U.A.E’s a dedicated group presented beautiful drama with a wonderful acting proved one of the best drama troupe in U.A.E.

 

Sarvotham Shetty, requested all the artists to present on the dais for the felicitation and all the artists were introduced to the audience and honoured with main sponsors Mr. Liguory D’Mello, Mr. Harish Bangera and Mr. Shekar Shetty.  The director of ’GammathKalavider’ Vishwanath Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.
