Moodubelle, 11 September 2010:  Ganesh Chaturthi  was celebrated with traditional fervour and devotion in Moodubelle as in other places all over India. There are few families in Moodubelle  who have been bringing the idol of Shri Ganesh to their homes since many years.  Late Baburaya Kamath had started  bringing the idol of Shri Ganesh nearly 6o years ago. This tradition was continued by his sons since then. Similarly, Late Subbanna Nayak had  brought the idol of Shri Ganesh to his home nearly fifty years ago, the tradition which has been followed by his sons, Pundalika Nayak and brothers. Late Vittaldas Kini was another person whose family has been bringing Shri Ganesh to their home since 35 years. The Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava is being celebrated in the Geetha mandir. The melpete Friends Moodubelle have donated two lamp stands for the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava.
