Mangalore, 10 Jan 2014 : LPG and ration consumers Forum promoted by city-based Praja Vikasa Seva Trust ® will be staging protest in front of the office of Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner, here on Saturday January 11 at 3.30pm, against the price hike of LPG cylinders and union petroleum minister’s controversial statements, and anti-people policies of union government.
The Forum alleges that the union government is playing havoc on the lives of people, by introducing transfer of subsidy amount to the beneficiaries, mandating Aadhar Card, limiting the number of LPG cylinders, etc.
The Forum urges the union government not to act puppets of private oil majors, instead act judiciously on the needs of common man.
The Forum also cautioned the union government led by UPA that the citizens will be forced to unit in exiting the alliance in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The Forum vice president Rekha Baliga Mangalore, organizing secretary Ayesha Mumtaz Vamanjoor, members Juliet Bothello, Sarala Prakash, Noushad Rashid and other office bearers were present at the press meet.
