Abu Dhabi, 7 Jan 2014: Indian Social and Cultural Centre (ISC), Abu Dhabi will be organizing thirty-seventh ISC – Apex open badminton tournament in association with Apex Trading, one of the major oil field suppliers and traders in Middle East, starting with Super Series from Thursday January 16 to Friday February 14. It will conclude with Elite Series comprising of international players beginning from Monday February 17 to Friday February 21. The entries for the Super Series will close on Friday January 10. The total cash prize is estimated at AED 60,000.

ICS honorary acting president Rajan M Zachariah announced the launching of ISC – Apex open tournament 2013 -14.
The highlight of this privileged tournament is that Super Series is open to all UAE residents and the Elite Series is open for worldwide players without any restriction to their entries. This year, they have already received the interest of participation by some of the world ranked players who have represented their countries in various international tournaments. They expect national players from Europe, Indonesia, Bahrain, Qatar, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan to show their skills and professionalism.
They expect a huge number of entries as the ISC Apex open badminton tournament is now in the book of ‘hall of fame’.
ISC honorary secretary P Satya Babu said that the main objective of this tournament is to inspire game spirit irrespective of nationalities and to bring them together as relations at one and only Indian Social and Cultural Centre.
ISC honorary sports secretary Ziad Kamaruddin said that the overall participation is expected to reveal a show worthy of excellent skills combined with high endurance levels, and the goal to attain the championship under the roof of ISC, Abu Dhabi. It is a great opportunity for all the badminton lovers around UAE, to witness this big sporting event.
