Udupi/M’belle, 08 Dec 2013: The preparations are under way at Belle Higher Primary School, Moodubelle, near here for the centenary celebrations that are scheduled to be held on Sunday December 29 Monday December 30.
Belle parish council and school governing council are striving to upkeep the school ground. The local entrepreneur and alumnus of same school Gaurish Rai Moodubelle has lent his earthmovers in this task. These earthmovers worked for three-days-and-nights overseen by school correspondent Fr Joswey Fernandes, headmaster Sylvester Mathias, Alumni Association president Rajendra Shetty, parents-teachers Association president Gerald Fernandes, sports secretary Vincent Fernandes.
The laying of drainage and repairs to entrance gate are in progress. Further works are delayed due to shortage of funds.
The school governing council and Alumni Association seeks generous contributions from philanthropists and alumnus to complete the works at the earliest.
