Sri Kshetra Adapady has been involved in free food offerings to devotees, distributing uniforms to school children in the neighbourhood are indeed commendable, Karkal – Rajapura Saraswat Credit Co-operative Bank past president Kadary Ravindra Prabhu.
Ravindra was speaking after distributing uniforms to students of schools of neighbourhood during the Deepotsav celebrations held at Umamaheshwari and Durgaparameshwari temple, Adapady, near Palli, here on Wednesday December 4.
Palli gram panchayat president Raviraj Upadhyaya, PDO Shankar Padakannaya, Sri Kshetra Bantakal and Sri Kshetra Durgaparameshwari temple managing trustee Sasidar Wagle were the chief guests of the occasion.
The senior teacher and journalist B Pundalika Marate briefed on the development works that are underway at the temples, and also educated on Indian culture.
Sri Kshetra managing trustee Pundalika Nayak distributed the uniforms to 350 students of 11 different schools on the occasion.
Sri Kshetra Vedic celebrant Vishnu Bhat compered the programme. Hariprasad Bhat rendered the prayers. Ranjit Bhat welcomed and proposed vote of thanks.
