Shirva: USWAS distributes financial help to the needy

Shirva, 04 September 2010: USWAS - UAE, an association of the Shirva Parish comprised of members serving in the U.A.E has been conducting many charity activities not only in U.A.E but also in Shirva. Their intention is to support the poor and needy people of the society especially in education and medical field.

 

 

The benefit fund was handed over by USWAS Committee member-Mr.Canute D’souza along with Parish priest Rev.Fr. Stany Tauro, on 2nd September 2010 they extended financial help of Rs.25,000/- to the students directly through their parents and head of the institution. The beneficiaries are Rtn. Michael Mathias for his children, Miss Sandhya-a MCom student and 10 students of St. Mary’s P.U.College and 10 students of Don Bosco Kannada Medium School at the rate of Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- each respectively.
