Hassan, Nov 21, 2013 : An incident of kidnapping a girl who had come to appear for her exam in a centre here a few days ago by her lover was solved when the pair was legally wedded here, said SP Ravi D Chananna.
Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at SP’s office here on Thursday November 21, SP Ravi said that a girl who was preparing to appear for her exam at BEG College, located nearby Axis Bank, B M Road, here on Monday November 18 was kidnapped on the same day morning, when 3 youth took her away in a Maruti Omni. The CCTV that was installed in front of Axis Bank recorded the incident. The CCTV footage recorded the vehicle number and also pictures of kidnapers. Meanwhile, the parents of kidnapped girl lodged a complaint on son of Krishne Gowda, Nagaravalli village of Gandasi gram panchayat in Arasikere taluk.
The police team headed by ASP Rashmi, DySP Bheemanna, circle inspector Sanjeeve Gowda, sub-inspector Vijayakrishna, traced the pair in a homestay nearby Kushalanagara, Madikeri. The pair confessed of loving each. The police brokered the marriage and the pair was wedded in a traditional nuptial ceremony held at Sitaramanjaneya temple, here on Wednesday November 20 morning.
It’s significant that the parents of both parties consented for the nuptials and the episode of kidnapping ended happily.
