World Konkani Cultural Convention on Aug 29 in Mumbai

Mangalore, 28 August 2010: First World Konkani Cultural Convention curtain raiser - Vovllig” will be held on Sunday August 29 at 11 am, at Rang Sharada Auditorium, Bendra (west) in Mumbai.

 

Ashok Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharastra, will be chief guest. Suresh H. Shetty, Minister for Public Health, Environment, Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt of Maharastra , Oscar Fernandes MP, Rajya Sabha, Allen CA Pereira, Chairman and MD of Bank of Maharastra and Madam Grace Pinto, Managing Director of Ryan International group of institutions will be  the guests of honor.

 

 

World famous Manddo Troupe of Goa “Kepenchim Kirnnam” lead by Elvis Goes will present songs and dances of Goa. This wills the Fourth curtain raiser in preparation to First world Konkani Cultural Convention which will be held in Kalaangann, Mangalore from November 25th to December 19th, 2010. First three successful curtain raisers were held in Bangalore, Goa and Hyderabad.
