MANGALORE, 28 August 2010: In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during Ramzan season, Southern Railway will operate special trains between Mangalore Central and Chennai Central. Advance reservation for the above trains commenced on Friday.
The Chennai Central Mangalore Central Chennai Central Special: T.No.0631 Chennai Central Mangalore Special, will leave Chennai Central at 8.35 pm on September 8 and arrive at Mangalore Central at 1.30 pm the next day. T.No.0632 Mangalore Chennai Central Special will leave Mangalore Central at 5.25 pm on September 9 and will arrive at Chennai Central at 10 am the next day.
The composition of the trains will be one each of AC 2-tier and AC 3-tier, eight Sleeper Class, three General Second Class coaches. The trains will stop at Podanur, Perambur Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.
Another train, Chennai Central Mangalore Central Chennai Central Special. T.No.0631 Chennai Central Mangalore Special will leave Chennai Central at 8.35 pm on September 10 and arrive Mangalore Central at 1.30 pm the next day. T.No.0640 Mangalore Chennai Central Special will leave Mangalore Central at 2.15 pm on September 12 and arrive Chennai Central at 7.45 am the next day. The composition of the trains and stops are similar to train number 0631.
