M’lore: Bajpe St. Joseph’s PU College girls football team wins state level football tournament

M’lore, 13 Oct 2013: St Joseph’s P U College girls team won the State level football tournament organised by Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka.  The tournament was held at Tumkur. St Josephs girls thrashed Bangalore Rural 9-0 goals in their first match. In the quater finals,  they beat Mysore by 5-0 goals. In the semi finals, they beat Bangalore South by 3-0 goals.

 

 

  In the finals, Bajpe team beat the host district Tumkur by 4-1 goals. Carol Cutinho, the captain of St Josephs scored 9 goals in the tournament. Suhani Shetty got the best mid-fielder award.  Br Hector Pinto, the Principal of St Josephs P U College is the coach of the team. St Josephs High School girls have won 3 state level tournament for the last two years.
