Kundapur, 30 Sep 2013: In this modern world, the people have no empathy for the fellowmen instead go after satiating their own selfish needs. The need of the hour is to create awareness among such people on human values, said senior civil Judge and Kandapur taluk legal services Committee president Srinivas Suvarna.
Srinivas was speaking after inaugurating legal awareness programme that was jointly organized by taluk legal services Committee, Kundapur prosecution department, Rotary Club International (RCI) – Tekkatte and Spoorthi Rural Development and Training Institute ®, Koteshwar, near here at Spoorthidhama, here on Sunday September 29.
The city Bar Association president A B Shetty presided the programme.
The additional civil and JMFC Judge Vijeta Pinky D’Sa, RCI – Tekkatte president entrepreneur Manjunat Prabhu, Kallianpur – St Joseph’s Kannada Medium School head teacher Sr Susheela Monteiro, the city Bar Association secretary K Chandrashekar Shetty, Udupi district child labor project director Prabhakar Acharya, Spoorthidhama chief functionary Dr Keshav Koteshwar, RCI – Tekkatte secretary Sridar Acharya and others were present on the occasion.
The advocate T Manjunat was the resource person spoke on special laws to safeguard SC/ST at the same occasion.
