Hassan, 25 Sep 2013: Karnataka state pre-university education department deputy director N Rajamma expressed concern over the recent trend of students failing in history more than English.
Rajamma was speaking after inaugurating educational convention of History Forum that was organized by district pre-university college teachers and principals Association at Kannada Sahitya Bhavan, here on Tuesday September 24.
Rajamma analyzed the trend for huge portion in history that the students find it difficult to study and students get good marks by studying limited portion of English, said Rajamma.
Rajamma also advised the district teachers and principals to ease the study the difficulties of students who find it difficult to grasp history, advised Rajamma.
Rajamma felicitated the talented students on the occasion.
The south graduate constituency former MLC Srikante Gowda, History Forum president Chandrashekarayya, history textbook Committee member Shirgaunkar, Government PU College principal G C Shivanna were present.
The history lecturer Palya Shivakumar welcomed the gathering. History lecturer Jayasheelamma rendered the prayers.
