Kundapur, 24 Sep, 2013 : Dr Keshav Koteshwar, chief functionary of Spoorthidhama Rehabilitation Center, Koteshwar, near here was conferred ‘Samaja Jyoti’ title during the 159th birth anniversary celebrations of Narayan Guru that was jointly organized by Lions Club of Padubidri, Lioness Club of Padubidri and Suzlon Foundation at Narayan Guru Self-employment training Institute, Padubidri, near Udupi.
Madwaraj Suvarna, chief of Narayan Guru Self-employment training Institute conferred the title to Dr Keshav.
Speaking on the occasion, Suvarna said that Dr Koteshwar has been engaged in social welfare activities since the past 25 years and set an example for youth. If everyone follows the path of Dr Koteshwar, no doubt Karnataka will become Rama Rajya, where there would no more poor and downtrodden and all would live in equality and justice.
Lions Club of Padubidri president Sudhakar Shetty, Dr B T Anchan, Lioness Club of Padubidri president Rashmi Sudhakar Shetty, Suzlon Foundation representatives Prasad, Mustaq and others were present on the occasion.
Dr Keshav Koteshwar released phenyl, soap and car wash liquid that were manufactured by self employed youth who had undergone training in Narayan Guru Self-employment Institute.
The training on personality development and advices on self-employment was rendered to the inmates of Spoorthidhama Rehabilitation Center at the same occasion.
Kundapur: Fifteen-Year-Old Mohd Ibrahim, Missing from Spoorthidhama Rescued
Kundapur, Sep 24: The fifteen-year-old Mohammed Ibrahim who was gone missing from Spoorthidhama Rehabilitation Center, Koteshwar, near here on September 2, was rescued by Kota police.
Spoorthidhama Rehabilitation Center chief functionary Dr Keshav Koteshwar lodged a complaint in this regard with Kota police who found Mohammed Ibrahim in Goa railway station.
The police presented before Juvenile Justice Committee in Udupi as per juvenile justice Act, while the Committee ordered to hand over Mohammed Ibrahim to the care of Government Boys Remand Home in Karwar. Accordingly, Mohammed Ibrahim was taken to Karwar and handed to the care of Government Boys Remand Home.
