Moodubelle, 19 August 2010: After many days of continuos rains, sun smiled on Thursday, 19 August 2010 as there was respite from wet weather throughout the day. People felt relieved that the rains have given them some respite and took this opportunity to wash and dry their clothes in bright sunlight. The atmosphere was quite pleasant as the clear sky with cluster of white clouds presented graphic celestial scenes. The roads were quite dry and it was quite pleasant not only to ride or drive but also to walk freely on the roads.
Those school children yearning to play outdoor games but could not do so due to wet weather for many days were out on their school grounds and were enjoying the bright weather as they played cricket or volley-ball. This reporter who had gone to Edmeru could click few pictures of the children playing cricket on the Edmeru school ground. On the way back to Moodubelle he could see clearly under the rain-free sky the Kunjarugiri Hill, Kudremale and the far off Nagarjun Power Plant at Nandikur emitting fumes. Taking the advantage of the bright rain-free evening, the school children of the Church Higher Primary School could be seen playing volley-ball game after the school hours under the direction of their teachers. Coming closer home, he could watch a calf merrily grazing the tender green grass and observe the evening sky with sun hiding behind the cluster of dark clouds.
