Independence Day Celebration in and around Moodubelle

Moodubelle, 15 August 2010:  Independence Day was celebrated at various places in and around Moodubelle such as Belle Grama Panchayat Office, Mescom, Kappandakarya Yuvaka Mandala, Edmeru School, Jyothi Mahila Mandala, edmeru Anganwadi and Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala, Nalku Beedhi Edmeru. 

In the Belle Grama Panchayat Office premises Mrs. Jacinrtah Aranha, the President of the Belle Grama Panchayat hoisted the flag. The dignitaries present were: Vice President Mrs. Sujata Suvarna, Secretary-Ramappa Hitthalamani and members of the Grama Panchayat-Devdas Hebbar, Harish Shetty, Shivram Salian and Vikas Shetty.

Section Officer of MESCOM-Mr. Sameer Rehman hoisted the national flag in the presence of the linesmen 

Mr. Joel D’Sa was the chief guest at the flag hoisting ceremony in the Edmeru School where his father, late Louis D’Sa was a teacher. The guests who were present at the flag hoisting function included-Mrs. Jacintha Aranha, Mr. Devdas Hebbar, Mr. Bernard D’Souza,  Mrs. Helen D’Souza, Mr. Shivram Salian, Mrs. Jyothi M.M., Mr. Shamith Shetty, Mr. Bhaskar Shetty, Mr. Albert Fernandes, Mr. Surendra Nayak and the Headmaster Mr. Vivekananda Shetty.

Mr. Bernard D’Souza unfurled the national flag at the Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala at Nalku Beedhi, Edmeru. The other guests included: Mrs. Jacintha Aranha, Mr. Devdas Hebbar, Mr. Chandrakanata Rao and Mr. Ivan Castelino-Honorary President of the Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala.

Mr. Shivarama Salian hoisted the national flag at the Kattingeri-Edmeru Anganwadi. Mrs. Jacintha Aranha, Mr. Henry Alva, Mrs. Helen D’Souza and others were present during this occasion.

Mr. Vikas Shetty unfurled the national tricolour at the premises of the Jyothi Mahila Mandal.  Mrs. Jacintha Aranha, Mrs. Helene D’Souza- President of the Jyothi Mahila Mandal and other members of the mandal were present for the function.  

Mr. Ivan D’Almeida-President of the Kappandakarya Yuvaka Mandala hoisted the national flag in the premises of the Yuvaka Mandala Officce
