Udupi: ICYM Udupi Deanery organized Jeniye Margadarshan Shibir at Katpadi

Udupi:  27 Aug 2013:  Indian Catholic Youth Movement of Udupi Deanery organised "Jeniye Margadarshan Shibir on Sunday 25th of August, 2013. The seminar was hosted by ICYM unit of St. Vincent De Paul Church, Katapadi.

 

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Fr. Lawrence D’Almeida, Parish Priest and ICYM Unit Director of St. Vincent De Paul Church Katapadi. Mr.RayanMenezes, Vice President of ICYM Udupi Deanery welcomed the gathering and Ms.SheetalFernandes, Secretary of ICYM Katapadi unit expressed her gratitude. The programme was compeered by Ms. Jyotsna Monteiro.

 

 

 

Fr. Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodbelle and Mr. Maxim D’Sa, Animator of  ICYM Udupi Deanery were present throughout the programme supporting and encouraging the youth. Fr. Edwin D’Souza, Director of ICYM/YCS/YSM of Udupi Diocese and Fr. Alban D’Souza, Director of ICYM Udupi Deanery had also joined in to support the youth. Fr. Edwin, Fr. Alban and Mr.Roshan Sequeira, President of ICYM Udupi Deanery expressed their gladness on successful hosting of the seminar.

 

It was a half a day seminar that concentrated on two topics- "Faith in Youth" and "Love and Friendship". Resource person for the seminar were Fr. Roshan D’Souza, Director of Holy Cross Students Home, Katapadi and Mr. Alwyn Danthy, Pernal. Around hundred youth had attended the seminar and gained the best from it.
