Mangalore, 22 Aug 2013: National Social Service (NSS) unit of Padua College of Commerce and Management, in association with Lions Club - Mangalore and Fr Muller Medical College Hospital, organized a mega blood donation and blood grouping camp at their auditorium here on Thursday August 22.
The state health minister U T Khader inaugurated the programme here on Thursday morning. Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo was the chief guest of the occasion.
Lions Club district governor K C Prabhu, Mangalore University NSS co-ordinator Professor Vinutha K and Lions Club – Urwa Stores president Elsie Colaco were the guests of honor.
Padua Education Institutions correspondent Fr Antony Serrao presided the function.The College principal Fr Michael Santhumayor was present at the dais.
Fr Antony felicitated minister U T Khader and MLA J R Lobo during the programme.
Fr Michael and NSS co-ordinator Sridar welcomed the gathering. The College vice principal Roshan Santhumayor compered the programme. Elsie Colaco proposed vote of thanks.
Over 100 students voluntarily donated their blood besides the general public on the occasion.
