M’lore: KORWA Convenes Annual General Body Meeting in City

Mangalore, 20 Aug 2013: The city based Konkani Overseas Returnees Welfare Association (KORWA) held their annual general body meeting at Don Bosco mini hall here on Saturday August 17.

 

The meeting started at 5.00pm with a opening prayer by Flora Hislop.

KORWA president Louis Lobo welcomed the gathering.

Spiritual leader F. Melwin D’Cunha (ex-Kuwait) said in his talk that he is extremely pleased with the activities of KORWA since the beginning of the Association and wished all the success for future activities.

Patric Pinto presented the annual accounts. Jessy Pinto read-out the year long activities report and explained very thoroughly about the main goals of the Association.  She highlighted that ‘Help the needy’ is their motto.

 

 

David D’Souza requested all to participate in cultural activities especially to take part in their forthcoming Christmas Tree Programme in December 2013.

 

KORVA vice president Elias Sanctis proposed the vote of thanks.

 

Meeting got over by 6.30pm. Snacks and tea/coffee served. Nearly 50 members have attended the meeting.
