Karkal: Rotary Club – Belman organizes Free Cardiac & Diabetes Check up Camp

Karkal, 19 Aug 2013: Rotary Club International (RCI) – Belman organized free cardiac and diabetes check up camp at St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here on Sunday August 18.  It was organized in association with Mangalore based Omega Hospital and Mangalore Heart Scan at the leadership of south India’s well known cardiac surgeon Dr Mukund. 

 

 

Belman – St Joseph’s parish priest Fr Lawrence B D’Souza after inaugurating the check up camp commended the social welfare activities of RCI – Belman with their health concern for poor people in the rural villages. Fr Lawrence also urged the people to take advantage of the camp.

 

RCI – Belman president Suryakant Shetty presided the function here on Sunday morning.

RCI zonal assistant governor Madhav Suvarna, Dr Santosh, Dr Mukund, Belman parish council vice president Gregory Menezes were the chief guests of the occasion.

 

RCI community service director Alwyn Neri Pinto, the School head teacher Sr Monica, Ravindra Bekal, Sudha Madhav Suvarna were also present.

 

Suryakant Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Omega Hospital administrator S L bharadwaj delivered the introductory address. RCI – Belman secretary Vignesh Shenoy proposed vote of thanks.

 

Over 100 people benefited from the camp.
