Tomozinho Cardozo to head Jagotik Konknni Songhotton till August 2015

Mangalore, 18 Aug 2013: Tomazinho Cardozo, former speaker of Goa state Assembly and chairman of Goa Tiatr Akademi has been elected president of JagotikKonknni Songhotton at its annual general body meeting here on Sunday. Eric Ozario, gurkaar of ManddSobhann is the secretary general, Roy Castelino of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan, Mangalore, the treasurer. Their term will be for a period of two years, that is, up to August 20, 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr Austin D’Souza Prabhu of Kala Sampat, USA, Pascal B Pinto of Queen of Arabia Konkani Community Ahmadi, Kuwait, and K K Utharan, Konkani Education Society, Kerala have been elected vice-presidents in other countries, Gulf and India categories respectively. Lawrence D’Souza Kamani of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharashtra is associate secretary, Ancy S D’Souza Paladka of Vasai Konkani Welfare Association, Mumbai, the PRO.

 

Louis Pinto, representing Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore, the promoters of JKS will be the ex-officio member. AGM also elected executive committee comprising of two representatives from Maharashtra, four from Goa, two from Kerala, and three from Karnataka. Arun D’Souza Palimar of Aangann Konknnechem, Saudi Arabia too is part of the executive committee. JKS also has 10 members from different organisations as special invitees.
