Udupi: Religious Conflicts increasing in Society; Mohammed Kunhi

Udupi, 18 Aug 2013: The district unit of Jamat-e-Hind organized Eid friendly meet at Hotel Kidiyoor Sheshashayana auditorium, here on Saturday August 17.

Jamat-e-Hind state secretary Mohammed Kunhi in his presidential address said that the conflicts in society is attributed to lack of religiousness, conflicting religious views, said Mohammed Kunhi.

 

 

MESCOM Udupi division executive engineer Gururaj Suvarna, MESCOM Kundapur division executive engineer H C Mahadevappa, Certified Electrical Contractors Association district president Nagaraj Rao M were the chief guests of the occasion.

Jamat-e-Hind sub zonal convener M Shabbir felicitated Thomas Gomes, who has been a veteran boatman ferrying people in Malpe, near Udyavar, since several years.

Hafiz Mohammed Younus recited the verse from Holy Quran.  Jamat-e-Hind member Anwar Ali welcomed the gathering and delivered introductory address.  Jamat-e-Hind local president Mohammed Marakada proposed vote of thanks.  G M Sharif Hoode compered the programme.
