Kundapur: DYFI Protests over Water Tariff Hikes

Kundapur, 30 Jul 2013: DYFI staged massive protest rally and public meeting, here on Monday July 29, opposing the hike in tariff of water by town council.

Addressing the protesters, DYFI leader Sudhakar Kanchan said that the hike in tariff of water by the town council is unjustified as the prices of essential commodities are hiked, straining the common folks.  The water is essential for sustenance and the town council has been expected to be considerate in this regard, said Sudhakar.

 

 

DYFI leaders H Narasimha, Suresh Kallagara and others were present.

A massive rally was held from Shastry roundabout till municipal office on the occasion.
