Udupi, 14 Jul 2013: Rajendra Rao, managing trustee of Durgadevi temple, Kunjaru, near here set motion for shooting Lacchi, Tulu digital movie that will be directed by award winning, up and coming director Prakash Suvarna Katpady, at Kunjaru temple premises, here on Sunday July 14.
The temple chief priest Vedamurti Gopalakrishna Bhat performed the Vedic rites related to muhurat of movie at the occasion.
K Satyendra Pai, proprietor of Vijaya Solars, Katpady was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyendra said that Prakash Suvarna directed past movies on naxal issue, child labour, fisheries women and rural folks have become successful and conveyed best wishes for Lacchi, Tulu movie.
Francis D’Sa, proprietor of Udupi Channel and producer of Kannada movies, Chenni, Hallimane, Guddadamane and Bhagya urged the support of movie-lovers for the success of Lacchi, movie.
The experienced actor Bhavya, hailing from Madikeri is the heroine of the movie.
The cameraman Sandeep, movie artistes Ravi Korangrapady, Rajgopal Shet, Divya Amin, Aditi Ambalapady, Rajesh Achar, Sanjeev Suvarna, Niranjan Bekal, Geetha, Sudesh Bangera, Harish Heroor, Balakrishna Poojary, Suresh yermal, Satish Golla, Prabhakar Kalyani, Rohan D’Souza, photographer of Anil Studio – Moodubelle, media convener B Pundalika Marate Shirva, assistant director Soumya were present at the occasion.
Lacchi, Tulu movie is based on true story of AIDS victims and will be produced in order to create general awareness, especially among the youth on drug abuse and HIV+.
