Fr Edwin D’Souza appointed youth director of Udupi diocese

Udupi, 16 Jun 2013: Fr Edwin D’Souza has been appointed the youth director of Udupi diocese by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of the diocese.

 

He will be the director of ICYM, YCS and YSM of the Udupi diocese.

 

Fr Edwin D’Souza took charge on Saturday June 15 in the presence of the bishop at the Bishop’s House, Udupi.

 

 

 

During the brief take-over ceremony, the bishop conducted the service in the presence of a small gathering.

 

Fr Edwin made his profession of faith in the presence of Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo. Fr Reginald Pinto, the parochial adminstrator of St Anthoy’s Church, Kuntalnagar near Moodubelle, Fr Henry Mascarenhas, the estate manager of Udupi diocese were present during the occasion.

 

Fr Edwin D’Souza was the parish priest of Sacred Heart Church at Kolalgiri of Kallianpur deanery. He has also served as youth director of Udupi district prior to the formation of Udupi diocese.
