Bangalore, 01 Jun 2013: The metro-based Chaos Faktory organized Bangalore Parkour and Freerunning Jam 2.0 at the National Games Village, Koramangala, here recently. Nearly 50 Parkour enthusiasts participated in the event.
Parkour (PK) also called as the art of displacement is a training discipline that was developed out of military obstacles course training. The practitioners aim to move from one place to another, negotiating the obstacles in between. The disciplined uses no equipment and is non-competitive.
Freerunning(FR) was evolved from Parkour and include combinations of martial arts, gymnastics or acrobatics moves. It is the freedom of movement and action. Parkour – Freerunning is relatively new concept in India and gaining attention in the recent past.
This was the right opportunity for people who get inspired by seeing the high voltage Hollywood chase and other similar videos to experience Parkour moves. Nearly 50 Parkour enthusiast made use of this opportunity and gained exposure to Parkour and Freerunning.
