Bahrain, 27 May 2013: A perfect time for a dip in the pool and some fun filled outdoor games. Belleans in Bahrain came together on 24th May to enjoy the swimming pool fun organized at a lovely pool area in Budaiya. About 80 people attended the event.
Opening prayer was recited by Kishore D’souza, followed by a warm welcome from President Baptist Sequeira. Joel D’sa gave general safety instructions. Ivan Dsouza compared the entire program.
Though most of our children attended the catechism classes, we ensured that they had enough entertainment and games for them in the afternoon session. Adults were kept busy at the pool and on the ground with games like water bottle filling, blind folded couple game, swimming competition, breaking of pot, coconut breaking, throw ball etc. children also enjoyed water bottle filling competition, swimming competition and breaking of pot. Exciting gifts, biscuits and chocolates were sponsored by the members. All the games were conducted by sports secretary Steevan Lobo. Having experienced the thrill of rain dance during last pool picnic; this year too the members were eagerly waiting for the water showers and on demand the rain showers were arranged for the rain dance by the team efforts Ivan D’souza and his team. Dancing to the tunes of DJ Daniel’s wonderful music, members never wanted to let go the showers of water from falling.
Breakfast and lunch was arranged by Udupi Palace Restaurant. Walter Lobo arranged for free soft drinks during the entire event. Cake for the Mother’s Day celebrated during the event was sponsored by Naveen Mendonca. Those who had taken responsibilities of arranging this wonderful event were co-ordinators Sylvia Dsouza and Laveena Mendonca, Baptist Sequeira, Rony Pinto, John Dsouza, Joel D’sa, Arun Castelino, Arun Fernandes, Kishore D’souza, Rony Pinto, Veera Martis, Nishanth D’silva, Alan, who ensured that everything went on well. Prizes for the event and games were sponsored by Arun Fernandes, Kishore D’souza & Arun Castelino.Secretary Arun Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. It was another successful event in the calendar of Bellevison, Bahrain.
