Udupi Diocese - Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Central Office inaugurated

Udupi, 30 Apr 2013 : Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh Central Committee Office was inaugurated at Leo Building, Near Court Road here on Monday, 29th April, 2013.After the erection of Udupi Diocese, Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh devided into two central committees for the adminstrative reasons of the diocese. Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh office which was inaugurated by Nizel Pereira President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh and blessed by Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese.

 

During the Central Committee office inaugural ceremony Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Nizel Pereira President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, Kiran Elroy Crasta President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, Rev Fr. William Martis Director of Inter Religions Relations, Udupi Diocese, Flavy D’Souza & Mary D’Souza Mangalore & Udupi Pradesh Secretaries, William Machado Proposed President of Udupi Pradesh, Valerian Fernandes Vice President Udupi Pradesh, Alwyn Quadros Treasurer of Udupi Pradesh and other office bearers of both Pradesh were present.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion inaugurator of the office Nizel Pereira said that Catholic Sabha eventhough divided into two pradesh committees for adminstrative purposes but not divided into the objects of Catholic Sabha. Volunteers and members should not fight with priests in the church but should fight against the government for the cause of our community. The office is blessed by Bishop and later said that this is the first inaugural ceremony after the erection of new diocese for the diocese cause adminstrated by laity of the diocese.He praised the role of Catholic Sabha for the diocese.

 

George Ligoury D’Souza former editor of Amcho Sandesh spoke during the occasion. Earlier President Kiran Elroy Crasta welcomed the gatherings. Meanwhile William Machado proposed vote of thanks and Joseph Paul Mendonca Pernal Udupi Pradesh incharge was compered the programme.

 

Past President Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Walter Cyril Pinto who mastermind for the instalation of Udupi office, Alphonse D’Costa former President of Mangalore Pradesh, Karkal, Udupi, Shirva, Kallianpur and Kundapur deanaries Catholic Sabha officials and Mangalore Pradesh officials were present during the inaugural ceremony of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh office.
