Mumbai: Kunda Kannada Balaga Organizes Kannada Cultural Fest at Suburban Dombivali (E)

Mumbai, 05 Apr 2013: At the joint auspices of metro based Kunda Kannada Balaga, Kundapur Board High School Alumni Association and Kannada and culture department, Bangalore, Kannada comedy play and dance recital ‘Krishnapriya Kanaka’ was staged by the artistes of Udaya Kalaniketan, Bangalore, at Takoor auditorium, Dombivali (East) here recently.

The renowned Sandalwood comedians Mysore Ramanand, Bank Janardan, Vijanat Biradar, Moogu Suresh, Shivakumaradhya, Apporva, Jagannat, Madhusri and others enthralled the audience with comedy play. 

 

The mythological episode ‘Krishnapriya Kanaka’ indeed was the highlight of the programme. Konkan Railway chief engineer Raghunat Nayak, internationally acclaimed artist Meera Kumar were the chief guest of the occasion.
Marata Suresh Shetty, Susheela Udayakumar (wife of Sandalwood actor Udayakumar), Kenchanoor Shankar were the specially invited guests present.

Bangalore entrepreneur and philanthropist M Shantappa and Susheela Udayakumar inaugurated the programme.Ultoor Mohandas Shetty, Raghunat Nayak, M Shantappa, Dr Shivakumar, Meera Kumar, Kenchanoor Shankar Shetty were awarded with Kalaposhak Awards during the programme.

Nagaraj Shanbagh and Asha Nayak rendered the prayers.  Shivaji Shetty and Dr Suma Dwaraknat compered the programme.
