Bangalore, 3 Apr 2013: Everything is set for Daiji Dubai’s most famous Konkani drama ‘Ami Nathlyaa Velaar….’ at the St.Joseph’s High School (Museum Road) in Bangalore on April 27 (Saturday) 2013, at 6.30 pm
Sharp. This is the third performance in Bangalore after performances earlier in Dubai and then in Udupi. All the actors in the drama are coming from Dubai.
Chief Guest for the drama will be Dubai’s young businessman Raju Francis Fernandes who is a keen drama enthusiast and strong supporter of Konkani. He will fly specially from Dubai to witness the drama. SPPE is the Main Sponsor of the event while other companies like The Grand Magrath Hotel, Rivshan Electronics, Acme Building Materials, Chilly Willy and Raymond Qadras are also supporting the event. Daijiworld.com and daijiworld weekly are the media sponsors for the drama.
The play is based on a true life story of a navy commander and his family, which became a sensational case in Maharashtra back in 1959. This play has created a record by staging over 5000 shows in Marathi, Kannada, Konkani and Tulu.
Famous Konkani theatre personality Dayan D’Souza is directing the play while Walter Nandalike of daiji fame will play the leading role of a Naval officer. Alphons Mendonca is another top actor who has an important role in the thrilling drama. Other performers include Dubai’s famous female star Asha Correa apart from several other established artistes of repute.
The event director will be veteran Denzil Fernandes who has organized several shows in the past.
Tickets for the drama are already selling fast at various outlets including Godwin (9886550836), Lawrence (9343797453) and all ATC bookshops.
There will be only one show in Bangalore and seating will be limited. Due to limited seating at the auditorium early booking is advised.
Tickets will be priced at Rs.200 (silver class) and Rs.300 (gold class) only for the drama. Few VIP tickets are also available.
