Kundapur,23 Feb 2013: At the joint auspicious of Alvas Education Foundation ® Moodbidri and Alvas Nudisiri Kundapur unit, Alvas Samskrutika Vaibhava – 2013, cultural extravaganza will be held at Canara College of Nursing campus, Koteshwar – Halady Road, hee at 6.00pm on Sunday February 24, said Dr Umesh Putran, president of Alvas Nudisiri Kundapur unit.
Addressing the media persons here on Friday February 22, Dr Umesh said that there would not be any stage programme, while the village elders will inaugurate Alvas Samskrutika Vaibhava – 2013 at sharp 6.00pm on Sunday. Over 5, 000 peoples are expected to witness the cultural extravaganza that has been a hit in India and overseas, said Dr Umesh.
It was organized to enthrall the common folks of a few hours of cultural splendor. The student artistes of Alvas Education Foundation in Katak, Bharatanatyam, Mohini Attam, Koochipudi, folk dance Banjara from Andhra Pradesh, Lavani – folk dance farom Maharastra, Purulia lion hunting – folk dance from West Bengal, one-act play – Dhootavakyam of Bhasa poet, Manipuri gymnastics – Dhol Chala and stick dance, Dashavatara – Yakshagana play in Badaguti style, Oppanam of Kerala and different cultural shows will be held at the occasion, added Dr Umesh.
Alvas Nudisiri Kundapur unit honorary president B Appanna Hegde, secretary Subramanya Shetty, treasurer N Vishwanat Karaba, Alvas Education Foundation ® chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, Koteshwar – Canara College of Nursing chairman Uday Kumar Shetty will attend the programme.
