Royal Udupi Restaurant opened in Doha Qatar

Doha Qatar, 16 Feb 2013: “Royal Udupi” a new Mangalorean restaurant was opened in Doha on Friday 15 February 2013 at 5.30 pm. The restaurant was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon and blessed by Rev. Fr. Anand Castelino, Spiritual Director of Konkani Speaking Community in Doha Parish.

 
The inaugural program was compeered by Sandeep Noronha, who also introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering. Sandeep declared the restaurant now open as it was symbolically opened by lighting of the lamp by George Lobo – Managing Director, his wife Reshma Lobo, their daughter Rancia Lobo, Fr. Anand Castelino and Restaurant Manager Puranjay Gupta.  

 
Speaking on the occasion Fr. Anand appreciated the opening of a Mangalorean Restaurant that can cater the various Manglorean and other food available for the community at large. Fr. Anand also conveyed his best wishes to the Managing Director of the restaurant George Lobo, his family and also to the management and staff.
 

George Lobo proposing his vote of thanks said that, it was his dream to serve the community who are away from back home with the mangalorean delicacy and he is pleased that now it is fulfilled. He also thanked Fr. Anand, all the community leaders, friends and relatives who participated in this inaugural celebration.

 

 
Along with the coffee and tea varieties of snacks and starters were served to all the attendees giving them the opportunity for savoring the delicacy of Royal Udupi. “Music City” a Doha based music group played live music with Western and Indian including Manglorean selected numbers creating a fantastic atmosphere.

 
Royal Udupi who is well organized with its team of expert Chefs, Caterers and other staff had spontaneous buffet ready which was served. The guests included different communities and nationalities, enjoyed the food and had a great time.

 
As the inaugural function was going on, Managing Partner George Lobo had a chat with me and revealed that he expects to offer the best service to all those who want to taste good food at a nominal price. The service also include free home delivery, catering for wedding – birthdays, corporate functions, office – iftehar parties and special occasions, he said.

 
Royal Udupi will be an exclusive restaurant in Doha Qatar, catering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and the delicacies include variety of traditional mouth watering Manglorean, Mughalai, Tandoor, Chinese, South Indian dishes with a specialty of its own, as eating out often has a different dimension.
