Dubai, 09 February 2013: Mukamar Parishioners of U.A.E residence under the banner “ Little Flowers Mukamar” held fun-filled whole day picnic at the Zabeel Park in Dubai. The day was bright and weather was cool and a perfect day for wonderful picnic for a crowd of one hundred parishioners.
The picnic began with a short prayer by Syliva Saldhana and welcome by President Reshma D’Cruz Lobo wherein she welcomed all the parishioners and thanked them for attending in large numbers. She also requested them enjoy the picnic and loads of games and entertaining items have been organized.
Breakfast was served for all the attendees of the picnic. Anil Prakash set upon conducting the various games and fun-filled items. Two groups were made namely Kanjarkatte and Santhoorkopla based in localities of your home parish Mukamar. The games began with busting the balloons and dodge ball which was great to fun and to enjoy. Thereafter loads for games were conducted for young and old such as Passing Mutter in straws, Water Ball Game, Passing the rings, biscuit game, cotton buds, lemon & spoon, etc.
After the morning session sumptuous lunch was served provided by Rasoi Restaurant Ras Al-Khaima.
Afternoon session was more fun and frolic as many traditional games and competitive games were held such as Breaking the coconuts, Tug-of-war, Balance Walking, sack-race etc were organized and the audience as well as participants had good fun and enjoyed every game thoroughly.
There were also Housie-housie and anthakashri was held between two groups. The hightest points were accrued by Kanjarkatte group and declared the winners and walked away first prize and Santhoorkopla walked away with second prize.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Reshma D’Cruze and she thanked all the participants for playing the games in sportsman spirit.
Prior to closing of the picnic tea and snacks were served and the picnic concluded around 6.0pm. The parishioners and the children went away with loads of goodies and memories of the wonderful fun-filled day out.
