Innumerable Devotees Flock to Infant Jesus Shrine, Katkare on Annual Feast

Kundapur, 26 Jan 2013: The feast of Infant Jesus shrine located at Carmel Ashram, Katkare, Koteshwar, near here was held with great devotion on Wednesday January 24.

Fr Clifford Fernandes, professor of St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu concelebrated the festal Thanks Giving Mass, along with Kundapur deanery vicar Fr Anil D’Souza, Carmelite Ashram superior Fr George Santumayor, several clergies of different Congregations on Wednesday morning.

 

Fr Clifford, in his homily stressed on the virtue of forgiving, in the year of Faith. Three-day novena service ahead of feast was conducted by Fr Anil Prashant Lobo, Carmelite priest from Honnavar.

 It’s significant that the devotion of Infant Jesus is fast catching up with the people regardless of different faiths in the neighbourhood.  The location of shrine was a barren land once, which is much flocked by devotees from across the nation now.
 A large number of devotees from across the district and neighbourhood attended the feast of Infant Jesus.
