Dubai: Hilarious “Porlu Thuvade” Drama creates laughter riot

Dubai, 18 Jan 2013: The Hilarious Tulu Drama “ Porlu Thuvade “ the fully packed Emirates Theatre brings laughter riot among audience.  The super comedy drama was played by “ Gammath Kalavider “ was a super hit and the audience had a good doze of laughter medicine.

 

The drama was organized for support of Spoorthidhama, a charitable institution in Kundapura who take care of Koraga community.  Mr. Pravieen Kumar Shetty  of Fortune Hotel Apartments took initiative to invite last year Rajyostava awardees Mr. Keshave and Pramila Koteshwar, the founders of Spoorthidhama.

 

The event began with a lighting of traditional lamp with chief guest Harish Bangera (main sponsor) along with Suvarna Satis Poojary (The sponsor) and honorary guests that included members of Gammath Kalavider and GA Boloor the drama writer.  A brief stage progamme was held prior to drama compared by Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi).   Drama Writer GA Boloor was honoured on the occasion followed by Keshawas and Pramila Koteshwar, founders of Spoorthi Dhama.  Speaking on the occasion Keshwa said this is the first time he was travelling by a plane to abroad and initially his mind was in his Institution and was a little worried but now meeting with so many people from Dubai he has found a new family.  The Gammath Kalavider team presented a check of Rs. 5 Lakh supported by UAE Exchange Centre UAE.  and All the sponsors and media persons were felicitated on the occasion.  Many business persons came forward and promised to contribute to Spoorthidhama.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The supper hit drama was directed by Vishwanath Shetty and Vasant Shetty played a leading role.  The drama was supported by well known actors of Dubai namely:  Donald Correa, Asha Correa, Laveen Fernandes, Shashi Shetty, Ramananda Shetty, Kiran Shetty, Shashi Shetty, Ganesh Kotian, Deepak SP, Jess Bayar, Santosh Poojari, Rajesh Kumar, Suvarna Poojary, Jagath Pal and Satish Ullal.  Harish Serigar and Prima D’Souza sange some tulu songs and entertained the crowd.

 

The faultless sound system and lighting was provided by Prasad and Kishore Gatty did the make up.

 

All the drama artists were felicitated for their brilliant performance.  Mr. Sarvotham Shetty praised them for their acting and requested them if they can present the same drama in Abu Dhabi.
