“One can realise God through faith and devotion”-Kaniyooru Shri

Udupi, 23 June 2010: Addressing a religious assembly held on the occasion of the dedication of the monolithic flag post and Brahmakumbhabhishekha at the historic Yakshini Subrahanya temple at Shri Dharmanadu Kshetra at Kedar Korangrapdi near Udyavar, the Pontiff of the Kaniyooru Mutt, Shri Vidyavallabha Thirtha Swamiji said that one can realise God through strong faith filled devotion. Further the Swamiji said that the external pompous devotion would take no one near God. Vasant V Salian, who presided over the function, said that Kedar Shri Dharmanadu Kshetra has been developing as an important religious centre. The guests of honour at the function included: The Tantri of Shri Dharmanadu Kshetra-Vedamoorthy Kenja Shridhar Tantri, President of Barkuru Moodukeri Shri Venugoplakrishna temple-Gopal K., Udupi APMC President-Vijaya Kumar Udyavar, Central Government Minister-Oscar Fernandes and his Secretary-Manjunath Udyavar and Social Worker from Udupi Kinnimulki-K. Krishnamoorthy Acharaya. The managing Dharmashri of Shri Dharmanadu Kshetra-Raghuram Shetty conducted the programme. Following the end of the function the artists from Kinninmulki presented a hilarious play “Barepinaye Baretije” written by Vilas Kumar Nitte.
