Moodubelle: Students’ Council constituted in St. Lawrence English Medium School

Moodubelle, 18 June 2010:  The Students’ Council of St. Lawrence Emglish medium School, Moodubelle was formally constituted through an aoth taking function that was held on Tuesday, 15th June 2010. Rev.Fr.Joswey Fernandes, the Correspondent of the school presided over the function.

The members of the Students’ Council arrived to the assembly in procession to the accompaniment of the school band. The oath taking function began by invoking God’s blessings. The School Pupil Leader (SPL) of last year, Deepak Nayak welcomed the gathering. Fr.Lancy Saldanha, Principla of St. Lawrence English Medium School administered the oath of office to the members of the Students’ Council.

In his presidential message, Rev.Fr.Joswey Fernandes blessed the office bearers of the new Students’ Council and wished them success.

 

Addressing the students, Fr.Lancy Saldanha appealed the students to inculcate leadership qualities and wished them success in their service.

The new office bearers of the Students’ Council,  SPL Raxon Mathias,ASPL Aaron D’Souza and GPL Felina D’Souza spoke about their feelings and expressed gratitude to Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Principal Fr. Lancy Saldahna, the teachers and all the students for giving them an opportunity to serve theie institution theough the Students’ Council.

Venessa Menezes, the GPL of last year proposed the vote of thanks. Roslin Menezes compeered the programme as the Master of Ceremonies.  The oath taking programme by the members of the Students’ Council concluded by singing National Anthem to the accompaniment of the flute.
