Moodubelle: 16 June 2010: The Pauline Sisters organised a three days book exhibition cum sale of the Pauline Publications and Communications in St. Lawrence PU College hall, Moodubelle from Monday, 14 to Wednesday, 16 June 2010. The exhibition was open from 10 am to 4 pm. Books in both English and Kannada languages were on exhibition. There were also audio-visual CDs in Konkani, Hindi and English.
Varities of books on different subjects were on exhibition for three days. These books included motivational books for the youth, books on family life, stories and fictions, childrens’ books, biographies of great personalities, essays, English language and composition, spirituality, prayer, novena and devotional books, biographies and lives of the saints and many other.
The CD and DVD sections had audio CDs including songs for children, Konakani Devotional CDs, Christmas audio CDs, Hindi Devotional CDs, Vernacular Devotional CDs, Audio Talk CDs, Video CDs and DVDs.
Students from St. Lawrence Composite PU College, English Medium School and the Church Aided Higher Primary School visited the Pauline Book Exhibition and were thrilled to see a large number of books and CDs on display. It would have been better if parents of the students had visited this book exhibition and selected few books for their children so that they could develop a habit of reading some inspirational books.
The Pauline Book exhibition was managed by the Pauline Sisters-Sr. Matilda, Sr. Kresitha and Sr. Shiney. The Pauline Publications, originally known as St. Paul’s Publications has been a wellknown Christian publication managed by the Pauline Sisters. With the motto of ‘committed to nourish the mind, strengthen the will and purify the heart,’The Pauline Publications has its main centre at Bandra, Mumbai with a number of oulets all over India. In Mangalore the Pauline Book and Media Centre is located at Opposite Milagris Church, Hampankatta, Mangalore.
