Mangalore, 16 Nov 2012: Most Rev Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese inaugurated the New ITI block of St Joseph’s ITI at Jeppu, Mangalore. In his address to the gathering at this occasion he stressed upon the importance of the technical education today. He said the fast growing economy of India requires many personnel with technical skills. And the students must strive to acquire them. St Joseph’ ITI provides with such an opportunity to the students. Giving a manthra for success to the students he said that it is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration that brings success. So he stressed upon the importance of hard work and a desire to move upwards in career and life.
Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza the Bishop of Mangalore Blessed the new block and presided over the function. In his presidential address he said that this is the day of Hope. With the inauguration of the new block we look into the future to make this as a great technical institute and provide quality education to the students. He stressed upon saying that imbibing values for life is equally important in the course of education. On the occasion of the Inauguration and blessing of the new block the Bishop inaugurated the technical exhibition JOSTECH-2012 by tolling the bells.
Mr. Sri Shivappa Principal Govt. ITI Mangalore inaugurated the Computer Lab and the SJITI website. Rev Fr J B Crasta, Director and Correspondent welcomed the gathering; Mr. Jasper Souza the Principal SJITI read the report and Mr. Balnny Lobo gave the vote of thanks. Fr Eric Crasta Principal St Joseph College was present at the occasion.
