Moodubelle, 22 Sep 2012: Following three days festivities, religious rituals, cultural programmes and games, the Ganesh Idol that was installed in the Geetha Mandir near Santekatte, Moodubelle was immersed in the pond near Thirlapalke on Friday, September 21, 2012 at around 9.30 pm.
The grand procession began at around 5 pm with the Ganesh Idol mounted on a van. There was chnde music and tableus.
The procession passed through the Belle pethe and proceeded towards Ganapanakatte where at the newly renovated facility around the Ashwath tree the idol was worshipped and the procession took a turn crossing the Belle pethe again and proceeding towards Thirlapalke. There was intermittent fireworks that lightened the dark night. Lighting arrangement was made by the main road for the convenience of the processionists.
Following the end of the procession, the Ganesh idol was immersed in the pond at Thirlapalke.
