Pernal: Salvi devotion observed with Retreat

Pernal, 19 Sep 2012: Our Lady of Fatima Church, Pernal, organized 5 days retreat from Monday 10 to Friday 14 September 2012, between 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm on the occasion of  “Salvi” of Mother of Sorrows.

 

Fr. Sunil D’souza, Parish Priest of Thanirubavi and Fr. Arun D’souza,Dominican Priest were invited by the Parish Priest of Pernal Fr. Gregory Serrao to give the Retreat to the Parishioners.

 

 

The Retreat and Salvi intended to enliven the faith of the Parishioners, as Catholics are preparing themselves to enter into the “Year of Faith” announced by the Holy Father.

 

Preachers stressed on the importance of family life, forgiveness, how closer one can reach and get closer to God. Inner Healing prayers were also conducted.

 

Rev. Fr.Gregory Serrao thanked the Preachers and the Parishioners for making the Retreat and Salvi a grand success. Fr. Sunil, on behalf of himself and Fr. Arun,  thanked Fr. Gregory Serrao for giving an opportunity to conduct the Retreat for  the people of Pernal Parish.
