Kanajar: ICYM Organizes Blood Donation Camp

Kanajar, 17 Sept 2012: The ICYM Unit of Kanajar  with the cooperation of the District Government Hospital, Udupi organized Blood Donation Camp in the Church Hall on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 9 am to 12 noon.

 

 

The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated at 9 am with the welcome address by Miss Renita Lobo, Secretary of ICYM. The inaugural function was presided over by the Parish Priest of Kanajar, Rev. Dr. John Mendonca. Dr. Sharath was the chief guest.

 

In their messages, Rev. Dr. John Mendonca and Dr. Sharath stressed upon the importance of blood donation.  At the end of the function, Melwyn Mathias, President of ICYM proposed the vote of thanks.
While a large number of people got their blood checked, 39 persons donated blood during the camp.
