Belman, 06 September 2012: We have to develop the feeling to first love our country, our native place and our society. Well being of the society is our well being. Teachers teach the lessons and the way of living to the children with love. The root inspirations to our achievements are from the teachers, said Belman St. Joseph Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence B. D’Souza.
He was speaking upon presiding over the Teacher’s Day function jointly organized by the students of Belman St. Joseph Higher Primary School and English Medium School. Speaking further Fr. Lawrence briefed on the significance on the respect to the teachers and conveyed his best wishes to the teachers.
School Student’s Association President Kumari Rachita Shetty welcomed the guests and the gathering. Rolita D’Souza and Venzil Noronha spoke on the significance of Teacher’s Day. On the dias Sr. Usha Stella, Senior Teacher Juliana Moras, Vincent Pinto, B. Pundalika Marathe, Lilly D’Souza, English Medium Headmistress Jesintha D’Souza, Gayatri Bhat, Physical Education Teacher Harshendra Kumar Jain, Lavina Pinto and Balavadi Teacher Suchitra Kulal were present.
Ritesh R. Kulal compeered the program. Prajwal Acharya proposed vote of thanks. Students conducted various cultural programs and games competitions for teachers. The winners were given prizes and congratulated.
