Dubai, 05 Sep 2012: The Third annual general meeting of Little Flower Mukamar, was held at Pingara Restaurant, Karama on Friday 31st August 2012.The agenda of the meeting was to elect a new executive committee for the year 2012-2014.
Reshma D’cruz, was unanimously elected as the president of Little Flowers Mukamar for the year 2012 – 2014. She is a well known personality and is also one of the best players in Throw Ball & Volley ball around UAE. Sandeep D’souza has been elected as the vice president and Reena Fernandes as the secretary.

Dayan D’souza and Lancy D’souza who are the advisors of the association presided over the meeting. The meeting commenced at 9.30 am with a prayer service by Sylvia Saldanha followed by a formal welcome note by outgoing President Godwin Corda. Gen Secretary Sandeep D’souza presented the Annual report highlighting the various achievements made by LFM throughout the year. Treasurer Praveen D’souza presented the income and expenditure statement for the year 2011-2012.
A newly-married couple from Mukamar parish was felicitated along with Theresa Aroza who attended the meeting all the way from Mangalore. All the donors who contributed financially towards the church painting were felicitated with flower bouquets.
The new executive committee for the year 2012 – 2014 has been formed under the supervision of Dayan D’souza & Lancy D’souza and the members are as follows:

Former president Godwin Corda took the opportunity to thank the outgoing members for their support; cooperation extended to him during his tenure and congratulated the newly elected president and his team by extending his support and wishing them tremendous success in all their future endeavours. Newly elected president Reshma D’cruz also extended her heartfelt thanks to the committee members and requested the support of all the members to work together to strengthen the Association.
The meeting came to an end with a hymn to our Patron saint St. Theresa.
Little Flowers Mukamar, is an exuberant parish organization, popular around in the UAE for its bunch of young adult talents and unique creativity. This organization is dedicated to St. Theresa of the child Jesus church, Mukamar belonging to the Shirva deanery of the Udupi Diocese. Over the past two years, this organization has been providing financial assistance to the needy for various purposes like supporting the education of financially backward children, medical aid and numerous social, cultural and humanitarian causes.
L.F.M’s Key Responsibility area is to support development projects of the parish, engage in charity work and support the community with voluntary services. At its inaugural ceremony, L.F.M. honoured the founder president of the Shirva denary associations (Varado). The following year L.F.M. Honoured the longest serving Catholic domestic helper with ‘Kutmaa Saangaathi’ Puroskor’ (Domestic caretaker award) during the first anniversary celebrations held in 2011.
L.F.M. will be celebrating its second anniversary on September 28 at India Club, Oud Metha Road, Dubai. On this special occasion of its 2nd anniversary celebration, for the first time in the history of UAE a prestigious ’The Saadhan Puroskar or Accomplishment award’ is to be bestowed upon a UAE-based Mangalorean individual Catholic parish church association.
