The security forces are cautious as to what kind of response should be given to this situation. Elite Pakistani force has been deployed to the scene of the terrorist attacks. The rescue operators are not allowed to go near the mosque due to the indiscriminate firing from the terrorists who have been holed up in these mosques. According to some other reports the terrorists had also lobbed hand grenades. Ambulances have been rushed to the site. Snipers and security forces have been taking position behind the mosques as well as on roof tops.
As these mosques are situated in densely populated areas of Model town and garhi Shahu of Lahore, the security forces have to take extra precaution so as not to harm the civilian population.
