UWV Nallasopara holds Blood Donation camp during their Founder’s Day celebrations

Mumbai, 22 Aug 2012: UNITED WAYS OF VISION (UWV), a social welfare Trust of Nalasopara, which supports and helps under-privileged people, celebrated their 5th Founder’s Day on 15th August 2012 at St. Francis De Sales Church, Nalasopara West.

 

On this occasion UWV had organized a ‘Blood Donation Drive’ in association with Sarla Blood Bank, Vasai, from 9.00am to 1.00pm. Ms. Priya Patil, Corporator of Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation inaugurated and Fr. Antony D’soza Blessed the occasion. Altogether 89 people offered to donate blood.

 

On the same day, all the members with their family offered a special thanksgiving Mass at 6.30 p.m.

 

 

 

The ‘CELEBRATION’ started by cake cutting as Fr. Antony D’souza (Parish Priest), Mr. Anil Bhogle and Mr. Vijay Rane Corporators Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, Mr. Devindra Khanna Chief Editor Vasai Satta, Mr. Raj Bombay Hospital and Research Centre, Miss Natasha and Mrs. Patricia Parish representatives, Mr. Ivan Rebello, Hon.Secretaty SPA (Barkur) Mumbai, Ms. Flora Jari Meri were present on the Dias.

 

Mr. Donald D’souza, Hon.President of UWV gave a warm welcome to all. Mr. Philip Sequeira the trustee of the organisation introduced the Guests. Hon.Secretary Mr. Joylan Fernandes gave a brief on activities carried by the Trust.

 

This was followed by an entertainment programme. Baby Andrea D’souza, Jisel Fernandes, Prinal Fernandes, Linet Thomas, Velina D’souza, Sweza Mansuri, Khushboo Mansuri and Baba Gracian Rodrigues, Sajjad Mansuri showcased their dancing skills. A famous Konkani singer Mr. Antony Tauro and Rubina refreshed us with their melodious tunes.

 

All the kids who have completed their SSC, HSC, Graduation and Post-Graduation were duly honored by presenting certificates and mementoes as an attempt to motivate them to do better in future studies. Also the kids who performed on stage were also encouraged by certificates and trophies. We felicitated our members Mrs and Mr Caitano Pereira on completion of their 25 years of successful married life.

 

The Treasurer Mr. Arun Pinto thanked all who contributed towards the success of our programme. Ms. Preeti Sequeira beautifully compered the ceremony. A family dinner was arranged for the members and guests present as a token of love.
