Independence Day celebration In Catholic Aided Higher Primary School Pamboor

Pamboor, 15 Aug 2012: The Independence Day celebration in Pamboor School started with the flag hoisting by Rev. Fr. Charles Lewis in the assembly as the students sang patriotic songs and respected our national flag and the school band played patriotic tunes.

 

After the assembly a program was organized which was presided over by Rev. Fr.Charles. Mr.Sadhu was the chief guest who is the Cluster Level CRP. Other guests of honour included vice president of the parish council Mr.Fedrick Menezes, Secretary of ICYM Mr.Loyal D’souza,Representative of Pamboor Welfare Association Dubai Mr.Gilbert Noronha, member of St.Vincent De Paul Society Mrs.Anitha Barboza, President of ‘The Parent Teacher association’ Mr.Ronald Sequeira.

 

The program started with the prayer by the students. Mr. Herald D’Mello school head master welcomed the gathering and he also thanked ICYM, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Pamboor Welfare Association, and the individual donors for the students uniforms and other things.

 

 

Miss Crystal Noronha spoke a few words on the importance of Independence Day. Rev.Fr. Cahrles Lewis felicitated the donors by presenting them each a rose. The donors for the school uniform distributed the uniform to the students.

 

Chief guest Mr.Sadhu told the children to be good in study and respect the country and try to do good things to the betterment of the country.

 

Rev.Fr.Charles Lewis addressed  the students, and gave away the scholarships for student who secured top ranks in the previous exams. Mr. Vishnu,  school teacher proposed the vote of thanks. Sr.Janet compeered the program. After the stage function there was variety entertainment programme by the school students.
