Moodubelle, 17 Jun 2012: After two days of dry spell, the sky opened on Sunday right from early hours of the day and it rained throughout with varying intensity reviving the hope of a normal monsoon. The temperature has drastically come down.
The fields that had been ploughed and those which are waiting to be ploughed were inundated with water logging giving a sense of min-flood. However, the river is yet to be overflowed. If the rains continue with the same intensity throughout the night of Sunday and Monday morning there is a possibility of the low lying areas along the Belle River being flooded.
Agricultural activities have already started with the tillers preparing the fields for the transplantation of the paddy saplings that are just getting ready.
With the monsoon arriving in time since the beginning of June, the nature is full of greenery with tender grass sprouting in the barren land and trees and plants wearing a green look. Overall weather is quite pleasant and the rural scene is awesome with full of greenery.
